CORONAVIRUS MEASURES

Due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus, the general practitioners in Wassenaar have had to take measures, some of which may seem a little unfriendly at first glance. We do this to protect you. But also ourselves, because when we get sick there is no medical help anymore. We ask for your understanding and cooperation for this.

 

The most important thing is to prevent carriers of the virus from just entering the practice. That is why we want everyone who wants to see us to speak to us by phone first. We have to close the practice for people who just walk in. Having said that, we will continue to provide the necessary medical care, but in a slightly different way.

• If you would like to email us, please use Mijngezondheids.net

• By appointment after you have called us and we have determined that you can come by.

• Repeat prescriptions can be requested via the regular recipe line or via Mijngezondheids.net. No longer at the counter.

• If you need to pick up a letter or something else, please call us in advance. We will put the letter in a closed envelope in the hall for you.

• We will avoid visits that have to do with care that can be delayed as much as possible.

• All appointments with Mrs. Petra Hoevers, practice assistant, will be converted into a telephone consultation. If you should have had blood samples for an appointment with her, we advise you not to get them now. This prevents you from having to sit in a waiting room with other people and become infected.

• More in general, we do not recommend that you have blood samples taken in the near future. Only do this when there is an urgent need.

• We will limit referrals to outpatient clinics in hospitals because during the pandemic, most hospitals withhold all appointments that are not urgent.

This is a major challenge that we face. It’s new, big, and sometimes quite scary. We need each other to get through this crisis. We will do everything we can to be there for you. Let’s take care of each other, especially the elderly and the weak.

Practice Measures

The numbers of infections are very high. We therefore have had to take measures to protect you and ourselves. Please adhere to them.

1.         Only come to the practice when you have an appointment

2.         Wear a mouth mask

3.         Do not come to the practice if you have respiratory problems. Only when you have discussed this with the assistant

4.         Keep to the 1.5 meters distance, unless the doctor or assistant needs to examine you.

 

In case of complaints that seem to indicate a Corona/Covid-19 infection, please have the following tests done at the GGD

If you need to be tested at home for medical reasons we can call the Red Cross for you.
